About Dr. Jim

Dr James A Nicholson is a native of Hattiesburg, MS. He graduated from the University of Southern
Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Dr Nicholson achieved his Doctor of Dental Surgery
degree from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. He received the American Association of
Orthodontists Award, Operative Dentistry Award for Excellence, Crown and Bridge Restorative Dentistry
Award, and Advanced Study Program Award. He then completed a Master of Science degree in
Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry. During
his master’sresidency, he completed thesis research on the Invitro Corrosion of Nitinol Wire which showed
the reusage effects on long term performance.
